| Europe's first cross border EV fast charger network launched A €4,2 million EU-funded project has been launched to expand the interoperable EV fast charge network in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The project is a joint initiative between ESB ecars and the Department for Regional Development NI. As part of this programme fast charge points are being installed in Topaz, Applegreen, and a number of independent service stations along major inter urban routes. | ESB ecars Ambassadors appear in national TV Campaign ESB ecars recently ran a national TV campaign featuring two of the 21 ecar Ambassadors taking part in the Great Electric Drive, ESB's national electric car trial. The campaign coincided with the launch of the 132 number plates and featured Ambassadors Beatrice Whelan and Glenisk. Overall the campaign was seen by more than 2,000,000 people across Ireland! | Wheels Couriers go electric! Wheels Couriers, a Dublin based, nationwide courier company, recently participated in an EU funded project to assess the viability of light commercial electric vehicles in a city centre location. | ESB ecars attend 9th annual ITS conference in Dublin ESB ecars exhibited in the Irish Pavillion at this year’s 9th Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) European Congress and provided electric vehicle test drives for event attendees. The Congress featured over 100 exhibitors and attracted more than 1,700 visitors with over 50 countries represented.
