Vault by Vans – 10 Years Anniversary Exhibition at BLENDS Costa Mesa Posted: 12 Jul 2013 10:05 PM PDT A special retrospective exhibition on VANS‘ sub-label, Vault by Vans, is currently available for viewing at BLENDS Costa Mesa store location. More commonly known as VANS Vault, the designation was first put into place in the Fall of 2003 as a way to manage special collaborations and premium editions. In the last decade, the line saw limited editions done with Major League Baseball, Filson, Brooks of England, designer Taka Hayashi, along with fashion iconoclast Marc Jacobs, pop-culture phenomenon The Simpsons, and much more… Rarely seen together within a single setting, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss if your in the Southern California area. A BATHING APE x Snoop Lion – BAPE Baby Milo T-Shirt Collection Posted: 12 Jul 2013 08:30 PM PDT Since hip-hop artist Snoop Lion (formerly known as Snoop Dogg) and fashion label A BATHING APE are so intrinsically important to sub-culture, it is somewhat surprising that both never collaborated till now. To coincide with Snoop Lion’s new album Reincarnated, BAPE created a special t-shirt collaboration featuring an animated Snoop Lion with BAPE’s lovable mascot, Baby Milo. Known as A BATHING APE x Snoop Lion Collection, the limited line includes the Milo Snoop Lion Tee, which will be available through all BAPE boutique locations across Japan on July 27th. There is also the more exclusive Milo Snoop Lion Smoke Tee, which will only be available through BAPEXCLUSIVE store in Aoyama and Kyoto. Both the regular and BAPEXCLUSIVE editions will also be on sale at Dover Street Market Ginza, BAPE.com online store, and select retail spots across the global, such as its BAPE New York storefront on SoHo’s Greene Street. Release Date: July 27th, 2013 (Saturday)

Air Jordan V Retro – “Fire Red/Black Tongue” Posted: 12 Jul 2013 07:03 PM PDT While you can track back this design’s original inspiration from the 1990 Air Jordan V White/Fire Red-Black with the numeral “23″ imprint, it is actually near identical to a later Air Jordan V release, one that came out in 2006. But of course, with Jordan fans clamoring for more re-release of the retro styling and the insatiable demands for Air Jordan V, little surprise this particular edition is back on the product line sheet for 2013. The Air Jordan V Retro “Fire Red Black Tongue” will be available through select Jordan Brand retailers near you on Saturday, August 31st. Air Jordan V Retro Release Date: August 31st, 2013 (Saturday)

Casio G-Shock – July 2013 | New Releases Posted: 12 Jul 2013 06:30 PM PDT In addition to the previously mentioned "Crazy Colors: Metallic Stars" Series, Casio launched five other models for its G-Shock July 2013 Collection. Of the five, two are also from the “Crazy Colors” Series, minus the Metallic Stars. This includes the G-8900SC-6JF with color scheme nearly identical to the Evangelion Unit-01 mecha found on the popular anime franchise Neon Genesis Evangelion. But if bewildering color-combos aren’t your thing, there are the three new “Sky Cockpit” editions, including the GW-A1000FC-5AJF with its unique purple-ish band. Available now through Casio G-Shock dealers in Japan, these new releases for July 2013 will also be available at fine watch retailers worldwide in the coming months.

AGENDA Show NYC: Starter Black Label – “New York Knicks” Satin Varsity Jacket Sample Posted: 12 Jul 2013 06:00 PM PDT Of all the merchandise on display at AGENDA Show New York this week, this was the one that stopped everyone in their tracks. After several “false re-starts” in the past, the Starter Black Label will finally make its return in Spring 2014. Now with two former Mitchell & Ness executives at the helm, the brand will be centering more on sports lifestyle once again with an expansive re-launch of its iconic satin varsity jacket line. Just a sample so far, the company is working closely with sports licenses holder GIII Apparel Group on some sort of agreements for teams in NFL, NBA, and MLB. When complete, the final product will be a close facsimile of the “New York Knicks” Satin Varsity Jacket seen here, along with a matching Starter snapback cap. AGENDA Show NYC: ASICS Gel Lyte V + Gel Epirus – “2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil” Pack Posted: 12 Jul 2013 05:30 PM PDT Featuring along side ASICS Spring 2014 Collection is the company’s “2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil” Pack celebrating the host nation’s rich and diverse culture. Consists of a pair of ASICS Gel Epirus and ASICS Gel Lyte V, each in a contrast color scheme. ASICS Gel Epirus features an upper in predominantly Mid Blue with White accents, Canary Yellow lining, and just a hint of Green along the lateral heel. Instead, the ASICS Gel Lyte V is in a Green suede and mesh upper, finished with Mid Blue accents. There are also similarities on both designs, however, from the Canary Yellow lining, gum rubber outsole, and the special tongue tag in Brazilian colors. Both are set to launch along with the rest of ASICS Spring 2014 Collection early next year. Photography by: Poe for Freshness
