Posted: 19 Jul 2013 06:00 AM PDT Tie-dye is back with a vengeance this summer, or perhaps it never left for some of us, but whichever the case, plenty of brands are producing tie-dye items. Stussy designed their fair share of tie-dye goods, and here are the latest t-shirts from Stussy Japan. Unlike multicolored tie-dye t-shirts, these two-tone garments are not as in your face, offered in black, blue, and orange color schemes. Additionally, there is a choice of World Tour, Tokyo, and Osaka graphics, where the latter two designs are sold exclusively in Stussy stores in their cities.

Posted: 19 Jul 2013 12:00 AM PDT “Extreme” and “lawn maintenance” are two concepts that typically don’t go hand in hand, and Honda‘s doing something about it. The brand has partnered with Top Gear magazine and racing outfit Team Dynamics to create the Mean Mower, a riding lawn mower capable of speeds up to 130 miles per hour. The base model is a Honda HF2620 lawn tractor, appended with a custom chassis constructed from 4130 chromoly, as well as a 1,000cc engine from a Honda VTR Firestorm. Six-speed paddle-shifted transmission, bespoke suspension and wheels borrowed from an ATV complete the details. And yes, it’s still a functional lawn mower. Check out the one-off Honda Mean Mower in action in the video below.

Jay Z Removes Hyphen From His Name Posted: 18 Jul 2013 11:00 PM PDT Jay Z is riding a hot streak at the moment — his Magna Carta Holy Grail has sold more than 500,000 units its first week, making it the rapper’s thirteenth no. 1 album on the Billboard chart, and he’s just kicked off the Legends of the Summer stadium tour with one Justin Timberlake, packing Toronto’s Roger Center Wednesday night with 45,000 rabid fans. His latest move? Dropping the hyphen from his name, at least according to Billboard editor Joe Levy, who cites Jay’s record label as the source. With or without the hyphen, the events of the week are undeniable proof that the Jay Z moniker still spells success.

Posted: 18 Jul 2013 08:00 PM PDT In taking over the lead sponsorship duties of the England Football Association earlier this year, Nike decided to focus on the spirit and enthusiasm of the team’s fans. Part of the strategy was to partner with creative agency Rosie Lee, who developed highly immersive customer experiences at Niketown London and Trafford Centre Manchester. There, fans are invited to try on the new England shirt and act out goal celebrations while being filmed and photographed, the results of which are shared with participants through a personalized and easily shareable web page. The campaign microsites are then built into the websites of various retail partners, totaling 350 stores nationwide. Check out a video overview of the campaign below.
