| JAWBONE – MINI JAMBOX Wireless Speaker Posted: 04 Sep 2013 06:00 AM PDT
After its JAMBOX and BIG JAMBOX Wireless Speakers helped you “liberate” your high fidelity playlist with friends and family, JAWBONE will help you personalize your music once again with the new MINI JAMBOX Wireless Speaker. While just around half a size smaller than the original JAMBOX, the MINI JAMBOX actually packs more punch in sound volume and audio fidelity. As with all other JAMBOX models, its Bluetooth wireless connectivity helps you link up with your Apple iOS or Android devices at up to 33 feet in range. There is also an input plug for wired connection as well. Rechargeable thanks to its built-in Lithium-ion battery, this mighty mini stores around 10 hours of continuous playback without charging. Small enough to store in your pants pocket, laptop case, or that stylish LV hand bag your girlfriend brought recently, the MINI JAMBOX allows the pairing of eight devices. You can also manage two connections at once, enough for you to enjoy the full audio effect of YouTube videos, conference call with your buddies, even an impromptu DJ Battle with another friend. Retails for $179 USD and comes in nine colors with five different designs (i.e. purple snowflake; graphite hex…), the JAWBONE MINI JAMBOX will be available through Apple, AT&T, Best Buy, Target and Verizon Wireless retail locations across the US later this year. However, you can place a pre-order starting today through www.jawbone.com online store.

| Nike Free Trainer 3.0 Mid Shield – Officially Unveiled Posted: 03 Sep 2013 09:35 PM PDT
Though no concrete information were given at the time, a few of us caught hints that a unique Nike Free design was to come this Fall during the Nike Free 2013 Greater China Media Summit. The just unveiled Nike Free Trainer 3.0 Mid Shield, it turned out, was that unique design. Based on the Nike Free, an articulated sole which contours to the natural flex of your feet and the motion when you walk, run, or jump. Designers then added the water resistant Nike Shield Technology as its upper for all-weather training, on whatever-terrain, and in any time. In addition, Nike threw in cage-like upper for support, ripstop mesh for durability and ventilation, and Spandex layering for fit. Capable of rolling like Hummer yet as comfortable as a Rolls-Royce, the Nike Free Trainer 3.0 Mid Shield is due to launch on October 1st through Nike, Nike Running, and Nike Sportswear retail locations worldwide. Release Date: October 1st, 2013 (Tuesday)

| Nike UK Headquarters – Newly Redesigned By Rosie Lee Posted: 03 Sep 2013 07:30 PM PDT
When you’re a budding tech start-up like Facebook or Twitter, you’re at liberty to decorate your office space however it suits you. After all, there isn’t much of a corporate culture or company history to go on, at least not yet. But what if you’re one of the world’s largest corporation, with a global brand recognition and a culture built upon 49 years of history and experience? How do you re-design your office space then? That was the question Nike asked when it decided to renovate its London-base UK Headquarters. In typical Nike’s “thinking outside of the box” fashion, the company hired England’s Rosie Lee, a creative agency, instead of an architect/interior design firm to supervise the taunting task. One of the biggest challenge designers at Rosie Lee faced from the start was the division of space. Spread across three floors at the heart of central London, Nike’s multiple divisions and departments needed well defined boundaries in work space so members can focus on their tasks. Yet, a must was an open floor plan since partition and walls hinder collaboration as well as the creative process. The solution they came away with was a simple yet effective one. Through highly decorative appointments on ceilings, wall, and floors, with the display of artworks and prototypes, Rosie Lee was able to maintain “distinctive” themed-zones for each of the departments. One example is the Air Jordan Zone for Jordan Brand, where you will find elephant/concrete wall coverings, Mars Blackmon murals, and large Jumpman insignia. Not far is the Mercurial Zone for Nike Soccer, covered in player stats and yellow paneling, in reference to the yellow penalty card. Air Max 180 Zone highlights Nike Running‘s tradition and Nike Sportswear‘s lifestyle-oriented products. For those without consumer products, like Nike’s Tech & Network department, Rosie Lee continued onward with the “open office” theme except the network servers are now in a large glass-paneled room instead for temperature control. Thoughtfully designed, who wouldn’t want to come to office like this everyday?
