| Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG – “Highlight Reel” Posted: 02 Sep 2013 08:18 PM PDT
At 6-foot and 8-inches, Atlanta Hawks‘ Dominique Wilkins gained prominence during the 1980s for his signature “Windmill Dunk,” a feat so raw to the opposing team and so entertaining to the Hawks’ fans that they bestowed the nickname the “Human Highlight Film” to him. Having such command of the game, Wilkins also gained a rival unlike any other, Michael Jordan. In celebration of this legendary rivalry between two of NBA‘s greatest players, as well as the 25th anniversary of the 1988 Chicago All-Star Weekend, one which Jordan edged out Wilkins during the Slam Dunk Contest with his now trademarked “Jumpman” pose, Jordan Brand is set to launch the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Human Highlight Reel.” Renamed to avoid any potential trademark issues, the shoe features a colorways familiar to Atlanta Hawks fans. Also dubbed as the “Atlanta Hawks” edition, you’ll find hints of film reel pattern embossed onto the black leather upper accentuates the overall design. Retails for $140 USD, Air Jordan 1 Retro “Highlight Reel” will also be available in kid’s size for $98 USD. Both scheduled for release this coming Saturday, September 7th, through select Jordan Brand retailers, including NOHBLE in Passaic, NJ, and Olympic Town locations in Harlem and the Bronx, NYC. | Nike Air Max 1 PRM Tape – “Glow in the Dark” Posted: 02 Sep 2013 06:00 PM PDT
Just as it did with the launch of its collaborative Gyakusou International Running Collection, Nike Sportswear is promoting the benefits of night running once again with the new “Glow in the Dark” Pack. With a focus on Air Max’s early designs, the pack also highlights the model’s popularity among men and women with both versions available. Like any other mentions of the Nike Air Max design, the pack starts off the “original” – Nike Air Max 1. Primed and updated, the new variation is lighter thanks to its “Hyperfuse-d” textile and ultra-thin tape construction, with a generous portion of GITD accent in the mix to give halo-like green glow at night. Set for an October 20th release date, the Nike Air Max 1 Premium Tape “Glow in the Dark” edition is now available for pre-order through Düsseldorf’s Afew Store. Nike Air Max 1 Premium Tape Afew Store

| rag & bone: D.I.Y. Project – Featuring Erin O’Connor & Kirsty Hume Posted: 02 Sep 2013 05:00 PM PDT
Scottish model Kirsty Hume and English-born Erin O’Connor are rag & bone‘s DIY video subjects of the season– a fame that has once been associated with well-known models such as Miranda Kerr, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel, and Carolyn Murphy. Kristy Hume’s personal recording is the first of the two to be released via the rag & bone site (watch it here). Shot in Topanga Canyon, California, the blonde Hume is captured soaking up the warm and friendly Cali sun while swinging on a wooded swing, dancing in front of a window pane, watering the plants, and sweetly lying in the grass while looking like she doesn’t have a care in the world. With no stylist, no hair and make-up, and no lighting, the D.I.Y. Project has succeeded in displaying models in their raw element while showcasing the brand’s high-quality designs. It just goes to show that you don’t need a full-scale production to promote a good pair of jeans; just drop a camera in a top model’s hand and watch her work her magic.

| HYPE – Black Collection | TOPMAN Exclusive Posted: 02 Sep 2013 04:00 PM PDT
It all started when two friends from England, Aidy Lennox and Liam Green, decided to do something out of the ordinary during their holiday breaks from college. With just an idea or two, and plenty of “word of mouth” marketing, the two lads started their brand simply known as HYPE. In just two years’ time, the pairs expanded initial quartet of designs to a full-range graphic tee and accessories line. They also won the backings from English retail giants ASOS, TOPSHOP, and its menswear-centric TOPMAN. For the month of September and the start of the Fall 2013 Season, HYPE created the Black Collection, an exclusive line for TOPMAN. Distinctive right from the start, all of the designs exclude the obnoxious patterns HYPE is known for. Instead, Lennox and Green placed emphasis on materials with the appliqué of cotton, mesh, gloss print, and felt. Limited to just 100 pieces in each design, the HYPE Black Collection for TOPMAN consists of knit cap, strapback cap, t-shirts, sweatshirt, outerwear, and bottoms. Available now at the TOPMAN Oxford Circus London flagship store, TOPMAN online shop, and General Store. TOPMAN – Oxford Circus London

| The Seventh Letter – Fall 2013 Collection Lookbook Posted: 02 Sep 2013 03:00 PM PDT
Established in 1988, Seventh Letter has had a bit of experience playing with fire with its designs. Hence, a legit mix of badass and shameless imitation are two characteristics that define the Seventh Letter Fall 2013 Lookbook to a T. Hats that rock the word “Rackers”, all-black hoodies with gold lettering, oversized crew-neck sweaters mocking the YSL logo, high-waisted shorts, and acid-dripping socks are just a few examples of pieces that you will find throughout the upcoming season’s collection. While the women’s line is classified as cute yet cheeky, the men’s section is not afraid to provoke controversy with the F-bomb placed in noticeable areas of a t-shirt. Which is the most brazenly audacious piece from the collection? Well, if it were up to us, we’d have to say it’s the cap that has the words “…Send Lawyers Guns and Money” etched into the cloth, ’cause, you know, you’ve got to have a good lawyer– dressing yourself in apparel this fly is as criminal as it gets.
