Thom Browne x Zac Posen x GILT x Infiniti Q50 Posted: 19 Sep 2013 06:00 AM PDT A true designer can incorporate their style and concept over any medium. GILT partnered with Infiniti for an unusual project, inviting two menswear designers to customize a complete car. Thom Browne and Zac Posen were asked to overhaul the 2014 Q50 sedan, just as they would design their collection of garments and accessories. Going over every detail on the inside and outside, both designers came up with unique vehicles that represent their brands. Priced at $75,000 per car, these one-of sedans will go on sale from Thursday, December 12 at noon. The lucky buyer will also receive $10,000 credit at GILT, and portion of the sale will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Sneaker Freaker x PUMA Blaze of Glory Part II | Preview Posted: 19 Sep 2013 05:00 AM PDT Sneaker Freaker teamed up with PUMA almost six years ago on a pair of limited edition kicks dubbed, Great White and Black Beast. Featured on the sneakers was actual sharkskin that did not look or feel like any other animal skin used on footwear before. The two brands are returning to launch a re-up of the sneakers called, Blaze of Glory Shark Part II. A quick glance shows quite a similarity to the original pair, yet there are subtle improvements such as the color-coded lining, and performance inner sole. Levi’s x Canada Goose – Capsule Collection Posted: 18 Sep 2013 07:00 PM PDT Levi’s and Canada Goose have come together for a capsule collection featuring three of the latter’s classic silhouettes: the Banff Parka, Chilliwack Bomber and Freestyle Vest. Reworked by Levi’s, the jackets are embellished with indigo denim detailing and pointed western yoke, while also losing the Arctic-ready coyote fur trim. The vest, meanwhile, is fully reversible, with denim on one side and an Arctic-Tech shell on the other. Each is finished with the Canada Goose circular patch and Levi’s red tab, with the collection produced in a limited quantity of just 300 pieces. Look for the goods to launch October 1st at select retailers. Stussy x Timberland Fall/Winter 2013 6″ Boot Posted: 18 Sep 2013 06:00 PM PDT Streetwear pioneer Stussy has reworked the classic Timberland 6-inch boot as part of its Fall/Winter 2013 lineup. Done up in full-grain nubuck and leather, the seven-hole silhouette gets a medial-side zip for easy on and off, as well as a number of distinguishing features that give the nod to the premium collaboration. There are the special-edition tonal colorways (black, olive green and wheat), Stussy branding at the tongue and old-school hang tags, and shiny gold eyelets to match the Timberland tree logo at the heel. Apple iOS 7 | Now Available Posted: 18 Sep 2013 05:30 PM PDT Two days ahead of the launch of the Apple iPhone 5s and 5c, the iOS 7 upgrade has been made available for download. Users can look forward to an entirely new look and feel, highlighted by revamped icons, typefaces and other visual elements. Stock apps like Safari, Calendar, Camera, Mail, and Messages have been upgraded, and there’s a newly installed Control Center, through which you can adjust commonly used settings without having to launch the Settings folder. Some of the major new features users can look forward to include AirDrop, a peer-to-peer file-sharing service; iTunes Radio, Apple’s new streaming music service; a revamped Siri that uses data sources like Bing, Wikipedia and Twitter; and less restricted Multitasking that adds a whole new user interface for switching between apps. Representing the first major redesign of the OS since the original iPhone, iOS 7 is available for free download now. Greyp Bikes G-12 Posted: 18 Sep 2013 04:30 PM PDT The tagline for the Greyp Bikes G-12 is “A bicycle when you want it, a motorcycle when you need it.” It’s capable of a pedal-free range of 75 miles, with power supplied by a 1.3kWh battery pack, mounted above a pair of 26-inch Maxxis Hookworm street tires and aluminum wheels. After awaiting the 80-minute charge (via any standard power outlet), riders can choose between three driving modes: Street, featuring a top speed limited to 25 km/h (15.5 mph) so it won’t be legally classified as a motorcycle; Eco, which maximizes energy-efficiency; and Power, which allows for faster acceleration and a top speed of 65 km/h (40 mph). Among the most interesting features is a 5-inch tablet-like touchscreen, displaying data such as speed, power output, battery life and estimated range based on current power usage. It also contains a fingerprint scanner, able to identify up to 50 different users and up to five fingers on each user. Check out the Greyp G-12 in action below.
