Addict Clothing’s photographic series is getting hazier by the day, but we’re not complaining. As referred to by this sexiness here, the English brand aims to continue its photographic series of guest artist t-shirts with New York based photographer and filmmaker Richard Kern. Kern‘s raw and unfiltered images were inspired by his cannibis-filled past, a period of time which seems like the tipping point of creativity for many an artist. "I spent a lot of time with my friends smoking pot, listening to music, running around in the woods and sometimes swimming naked. Back then, when I was around a naked girl, weed was either about to be smoked or had been smoked," says the photographer. Lauded for his exhibitions at MOMA, The Whitney Museum, and more than 30 solo shows around the world, Kern’s designs for Addict make for an impressive study on the darker sides of human nature. Although the subjects are naked to begin with, Kern’s uncanny ability to break down their walls captures a moment of fragility, vulnerability, and even empowerment on women’s faces that cannot be dismissed. Kern is refashioning the representation of the female libido, literally. Available via the Addict online shop.

Just a little over a year since its introduction, adidas already found ways to improve upon on the adidas adiZero Primeknit. Billed as the adidas adiZero Primeknit 2.0, the changes aren’t all that clear till a closer inspection. Now with a finer gauge, the weave pattern is a lot tighter and nearly indistinguishable from adidas’ other creations for running. One thing has not change however, is the shoe’s popularity. Though it is a somewhat from its street wear roots, CurT@!n$ and Rob Garcia’s EN NOIR still retains much of the grittiness fans come to love the brand for. By piecing together tapered leather silhouettes, airy perforated layers, and loosely fitted cotton jersey panelings, the label’s Spring/Summer 2014 Collection looks minimalistic at times, and full blown heavy metal ensemble from another angle. More demurred was its womenswear line, a first for the brand. Yet, much of the executions found on the men’s line have translated nicely onto the women’s, with looks comparable to the taut styling found on many of the luxury fashion houses.

On November 23rd, 2013, the (RED) auction will go live at Sotheby’s in New York, the pieces up for bid celebrating the best of design and innovation. The auction was curated by a pair of renowned designers — Sir Jonathan Ive of Apple fame and Marc Newson — who have partnered with the U2 frontman Bono for a charity event that benefits The Global Fund to combat the spread of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Two standout pieces were designed by the team of Ive and Newson themselves: a special Leica Digital Rangefinder Camera and a unique aluminum desk by Neal Feay Studio. Other highlights include one-of-a-kind Apple Earbuds in solid rose gold, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni “Snoopy” lamp produced by FLOS S.p.A., a Steinway & Sons piano, and a 1966 bottle of Dom Pérignon.
