The delay would last more than five hours and day would turn to night before the green flag was waved once again, but once it did Joe Gibbs Racing would prove to be the dominant team with Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch taking turns at the lead before finishing first and second to open the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship.
