Surviving Summer

From Judy Hedding, your Guide to Phoenix
Some parts of town saw little or no rain, and some saw more than an inch. It might not be a surprise that there are rain gauges all over the state, and the amount of rain experienced in one part of town might be very different than in another neighborhood. Already this year, we have had more rain than last year, with 5.6 inches of rain officially recorded. It looks like we should easily surpass the general annual rainfall average for Phoenix, which is about 8 inches per year. My weeds are growing nicely.

August Restaurant Inspection Reports
One of our worst offenders in August had violations noted by the inspector that included the following: "Open bag of salt with dead ants found on shelf in storage."
