| X-Men: Days of Future Past – Official Movie Posters Posted: 07 Aug 2013 12:00 AM PDT
To demonstrate the perplexing effect of alternate timelines in its upcoming superhero film X-Men: Days of Future Past, studio 20th Century Fox commissioned a set of posters featuring characters Magneto and Professor X. In one, a portrait of mutant lord Magneto (Sir Ian McKellen) juxtaposed with a photo of his younger self, then known as Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender). The other features protagonist Professor X (Sir Patrick Stewart) superimposed against a photo of Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), before he established X-Men. The poster series also includes two propaganda-like editions from the fictional Trask Industries, maker of the giant robotic enforcers known as the Sentinels. Directed by Bryan Singer and featuring an all-star cast, X-Men: Days of Future Past will be in theaters worldwide on May 23rd, 2014.

Continuing on its 30th Anniversary Celebration theme, Casio G-Shock is introducing the previously mentioned “Thirty Stars” Series to kick off the month of August. Embellished with metallic gold dial on textured black finishes, the series focuses on the quintessential G-Shock editions from the past 30 years. This includes the DW-6930D-1JR and GW-M5630D-1JR, both packaged in a custom tin case created by artist Eric Haze. There is also the GSET-30-1JR twin pack, featuring a GSET-30-1JR watch in the original DW-5000 colorway and the other in the 30th Anniversary gold design, along with a G-Shcokman vinyl figure. Another aspect of the 30th Anniversary is G-Shock’s collaborations, both past and present. In addition to the G-Shock × MEDICOM TOY DW-5600MT-1JR watch and its BE@RBRICK-shaped case, a DW-6901UD-3JR version with retailer UNDEFEATED (UNDFTD) is also in the works. Finally, there is “Military Color” Series, Casio‘s take on the popular military field watch by adding a nylon cloth band to its GA-100 model. In all, eleven new designs set to debut this month at G-Shock retail locations across Japan, follow by international releases later this year.

New Balance and Herschel Supply Co. have joined forces once again, producing a second capsule collection featuring classic New Balance silhouettes accented with trademark Herschel Supply touches. The kicks take the form of the New Balance 420 and H710, accompanied by a Heritage Backpack in matching hues. The color program features monochromatic colorways — grey, burgundy and army green — executed on a combination of materials, including ripstop nylon, textured suede and reflective tape. Herschel Supply’s signature paisley pattern appears on the shoes’ lining and insoles, while the Heritage Backpack comes with a shoe pocket, a detail formerly exclusive to the brand’s Novel duffel bag. Look for the collection to hit select retailers starting August 10th. Release Date: August 10th, 2013 (Saturday)

In celebration of its pop-up shop at the Complex Boutique in Birmingham, Michigan, the DISTINCT LIFE is set to release a series of Michigan-made goods throughout the month of August. Kicking off the project is this collection of DISTINCT LIFE “Ghost Camo” stuffed bears. Rendered in black, green, burgundy and blue colorways, each handcrafted bear measures 22 inches tall and features an all-over camo pattern throughout the exterior. They’re available for pre-order now directly from the DISTINCT LIFE, with delivery scheduled for the first and second week of September. And keep in mind when the pre-orders are completed the bears are gone forever.

The Brixton Fall 2013 Lookbook video shows the man behind the clothes, in his prime, in his element. With nature and the city landscape being equal parts an influence on his athletic spirit, the man who wears Brixton does not portray an ounce of trepidation. He is fearless, artistic, and unconventional. The modern brand Brixton has branded itself well in the near decade of its existence– and this Fall 2013 collection is no exception.
