| 2013 Mercedes-Benz G350 CDI with G63/G65 Front – WIDESTAR Custom | By BRABUS Posted: 02 Aug 2013 08:00 PM PDT
When you’re an automotive customization shop with some of the industry’s best designers, engineers, fabricators, and a state-of-the-arts manufacturing facility, you’re bound to “experiment” some of your ideas on the side. And one of those ideas turns out to be this 2013 Mercedes-Benz G350 CDI with a G63/G65 Front. Officially part of the BRABUS WIDESTAR Custom SUV line, this curious “hybrid” features a set of new body panels, front and back fascia. Complete with matching LED lighting, white-on-white finishes, polished chrome details, running lights, and BRABUS’ own 22-inch Monoblock S design wheels, this custom job certainly stands out in a sea of Mercedes. The most unique portion, however, is one less noticeable – the G63/G65-inspired front design. Underneath the alteration though is something wholly of BRABUS, the D6 S diesel engine capable of 254 horsepower and a 0 to 62 mph performance in 8.7 seconds. Overloaded with amenities such quilted leather appointments, lighted door sills, and others, BRABUS‘ 2013 Mercedes-Benz G350 CDI with G63/G65 Front – WIDESTAR Custom is available for purchase now upon request.

| X-Men: Days of Future Past – “Trask Industries: Your Future” Viral Video Posted: 02 Aug 2013 07:00 PM PDT
A year after the 1980 introduction of Kitty Pryde to Marvel‘s The Uncanny X-Men comic book saga, the popular mutant teen took on a lead role in the Days of Future Past storyline. In the mind-bending plot twist that ran in The Uncanny X-Men #141 and #142, Pryde forewarned of a grim alternate universe, one which mutants are hunted down by giant robotic beings called the Sentinels or lived in concentration camps. Long known to be one of the best X-Men narratives, movie director Bryan Singer is hoping bring that same level of intrigue to his 2014 live-action adaptation. Taking a chapter from another Marvel Comics‘ franchise, The Avengers, Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past will see the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Halle Berry as Storm, Anna Paquin as Rogue, Shawn Ashmore as Iceman, Daniel Cudmore in his role as Colossus, with Ellen Page playing Kitty Pryde. Nicholas Hoult will reprise his role as Beast and Jennifer Lawrence will lather some more blue body paint to be Mystique once again. Because it deals with the strange nature of alternate universe, both Sir Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy get to portray Professor Charles Xavier while Sir Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender depict arch-nemesis Magneto. First debut over last month’s San Diego Comic-Con, check out below for the new viral viral created by Trask Industries, the fictitious Conglomerate that created the Sentinels. In the meantime, X-Men: Days of Future Past will be in theaters on May 23rd, 2014.

| University of Oregon Football Performance Center By ZGF Architects & Firm 151 | An Inside Look Posted: 02 Aug 2013 06:00 PM PDT
During an interview with the New York Times, Jeff Hawkins, University of Oregon‘s senior associate athletic director of football administration and operations boastfully declared, "We are the University of Nike. We embrace it. We tell that to our recruits." And you certainly do need to look far to see his point, especially the just opened Football Performance Center. Nearly three years after it opened the $227 million Matthew Knight Arena for its basketball program, University of Oregon unveiled the new Football Performance Center before the start of its college football season. Like all other University of Oregon’s sports programs, the new facility was a generous gift from Phil Knight, a former alum and co-founder of Nike, along with his wife Penny. Built upon the fundamental belief that an obscene amount of money can buy you a championship, the ambitious project started eight years ago with involvements from ZGF Architects, Firm 151 and Hoffman Construction. With a goal to build the world’s most impressive athletic facility, the team flew via private jets to other well known arenas and stadiums, both collegiate and professional, to study the layouts. When it came to the construction phase, members of the University of Oregon Ducks asked for nothing but the best. A few examples:

| CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 SP I Teaser Posted: 02 Aug 2013 04:30 PM PDT
For brand founder Edison Chen and his CLOT crew, the concept of resting on one’s laurels — or even taking an extended break — appears to be an alien one. Conspicuous by its recent absence in the annals of brand collaborations, Nike is set to get reacquainted with CLOT in a major way, at least according to this teaser image on Chen’s personal Instagram. The pic signals an impending CLOT x Air Max 1 SP project, evidently scheduled for a September 2013 release. Unless the image is entirely misleading, it would seem we can expect a textile build and a fairly neutral colorway. Stay tuned for details.

The adidas Originals Hard Court Defender features a silhouette based on the 1985 Hard Court combined with the colors and high-flying style of the ’90s, resulting in a shoe that blends retro designs with contemporary standards. The iconic adidas three-stripes and an adjustable midfoot strap dominate the shoe’s upper, which is built from a combination of leather, nubuck and mesh. The vulcanized sole construction and classic color blocking is topped off with an oversized Trefoil logo at the tongue, harking back to the iconography of ’80s basketball. Check out detailed looks below, and find this White/Cobalt/Infrared colorway available now at Foot Locker and Eastbay.
