Any fans of Jordan Brand will be the first to tell you that they aren’t concern of the ghoulish green colorway found on the upcoming Air Jordan V Retro “Fear.” In fact, they rather like the mysterious color palette, a cross between primordial ooze, peat moss, and trailing from the Swamp Thing. What they’re fearful of, however, is its availability come this Saturday during its launch. Made with hairy suede upper in “Dark Sequoia” and “Medium Olive” color scheme, hints of black, royal blue, and fire red speckles accentuate the design further. Part of the “Fear” Pack trio, the Air Jordan V Retro “Fear” will be available through select Jordan Brand retailers this coming weekend, including WISH of Atlanta and Sneaker Politics across Louisiana. | AAPE by A BATHING APE x Reebok Insta Pump Fury “Camo” | Release Info Posted: 22 Aug 2013 06:00 PM PDT Not just a mere sub-brand of A BATHING APE, the new AAPE by A BATHING APE explores design possibilities often missed by the larger entity. Other times, it focuses on new collaborations, such as the new AAPE by A BATHING APE x Reebok Insta Pump Fury "Camo." Similar to other BAPE collabs in the past, a camouflage print “dominates” the Reebok Insta Pump Fury’s silhouette. Instead of the familiar “BAPE 1st Camo” pattern, however, this special edition features one created specifically for AAPE by A BATHING APE. Black accents highlight the Reebok Pump apparatus while an all white outsole serves as contrast, the co-branded creation will be available in very limited amount this Saturday, August 24th, through select Reebok retailers including Social Status locations in Pittsburgh, Charlotte, and Greensboro. Parisian streetwear label Brooklyn We Go Hard teams up with American travel gear specialist Drifter Bags to introduce the Canvas Backpack for Fall/Winter 2013. The top-loading heritage bag is crafted from heavyweight canvas in navy, complemented with an olive-hued flap and a reinforced suede base in a rustic dark tan shade. Along with a large main compartment, there’s a lightly padded back panel and shoulder straps for added comfort, plus a woven BWGH brand patch on the front. As part of the prestigious #Heineken100 seeding program that celebrates the brand’s “Man of the World” campaign, prolific designer Mark McNairy teams up with Union’s Chris Gibbs to produce two colorways of McNairy’s classic chukka saddle boot. Having assumed the mantle of Creative Director for the 2013 #Heineken100 program — now in its fourth year — Gibbs led the charge for the design of both pairs, one featuring a pebbled black leather build across the entire upper, the other carrying a white suede upper with black pebbled leather quarter panels and red heel stripe. Common details on both include a Heineken green EVA sole, white laces, black welt and white eyelets. Custom packaging in the form of a clear acrylic lid box and customized sizing label makes up the finishing touch.
