Heralded for its footwear collaboration with adidas Originals, Ransom is set to strike out on its own for Spring 2014. “I am humbled to have been given the platform to establish a legion of fans through our collection with adidas Originals,” says brand founder Matt George, “and now we move on to the next chapter.” In keeping with the Vancouver-based brand’s aesthetic, the shoes will feature rugged construction combined with street-ready style, built for city dwellers looking to tread a new path. Chris Brown gets called a lot of things by a lot of people — many of those terms unfit to print — but one label that isn’t up for debate is “dedicated sneakerhead.” The R&B crooner recently transformed his Lamborghini Aventador to resemble this year’s Nike Foamposite “Fighter Jet,” dropping off his car at JC Customz in Southern California last month with instructions to replicate the camo pattern on his Foams, which he helpfully brought along. Four weeks and $15,000 later, the handpainted custom job was ready to hit the road, taking matching to a whole new level. Check out more looks below.

Bugatti is set to unveil the first special-edition model from the six-part “Bugatti Legends” collection, one that uses the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse to celebrate the men that shaped its history. The vehicle is dedicated to Jean-Pierre Wimille, winner of two Bugatti victories at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. The winning car from 1937 is the inspiration for the design of the Bugatti Legend “Jean-Pierre Wimille” Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, its clear-coated carbon fiber exterior finished in a light Wimille Bleu paint color. No changes were made under the hood, meaning the output from the quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 remains at 1,184 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque. The 0 – 62 mph sprint time takes 2.6 seconds, with a top speed limited to 233 mph. (We know, however, that it’s capable of hitting 254 mph with the top down, making it the fastest production roadster in the world.) Limited to just three units, this first Bugatti Legend debuts at Pebble Beach in August, with the following five individual editions to arrive over the next twelve months.

The upper-tier adidas Consortium line goes to work on a performance shoe from the three-stripe brand, presenting a retooled adizero Adios 2, the lightweight and breathable runner enhanced with torsional stability. A quartet of styles is set for release, built to the high-flying standards of the Consortium imprint. Three colorways are dressed in unique python snakeskin paneling across quarter and heel, while the fourth is finished in an-allover camo print that extends throughout the breathable mesh upper. The introductory duo seen above are set for a late-summer release through adidas Consortium retailers, while the follow-up twosome will land in stores in September.
