Ford F-150 “Bat Truck” | By Galpin Auto Sports Posted: 19 Jul 2013 05:00 PM PDT George Barris built the first Batmobile in 1965 using the body of a Ford Futura concept car and parts from a hardware store, immediately propelling Barris to legend status among custom car designers. Almost 50 years later, Barris’ grandson Jared is paying tribute to the original with a custom Bat-themed creation of his own. Utilizing a 2012 Ford F-150 and built by Galpin Auto Sports, this custom designed Bat Truck — dubbed The Crimefighter — features a tuxedo black paint job with Ferrari red accents that echo the first Batmobile, complete with rakish fins on each side of the truck bed. Best of all, if you feel like fighting crime in a vehicle that has plenty of space to haul criminals to the police station, Galpin Auto Sports is taking orders on the custom truck.

Nike Zoom Hyperflight – “Beijing: Lion” | Detailed Look Posted: 19 Jul 2013 03:30 PM PDT It is the “Tale of Three Cities” as Nike and its Nike Basketball division unveiled the new Zoom Hyperflight Collection for China – a total of three distinctive designs, each referring to the three major urban centers in China, including its capital city of Beijing. Formally known as the “Northern Capital” by its Chinese characters, the city was once the summer retreat for Emperors and Imperial Household till the 1600s when Qing Dynasty rulers made it China’s sole capital. With inspirations from Beijing’s long association with Chinese Emperors, Empresses, and ruling royalties of the past, Nike appointed the city’s Nike Zoom Hyperflight edition in a golden-copper synthetic upper. Etched in an intricate weave pattern, the sneaker takes on a persona of a lion, a symbol of imperial power and protector of the throne. To further accentuate its design and the city itself, Nike added the Chinese character of “?”, or “Jing” for capital city, onto the shoe’s insole. The Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Beijing: Lion” will be available at select Nike China retail locations across the Middle Kingdom starting tomorrow, July 20th. If everything goes accordingly, the collection will also be available to consumers in the US two weeks from now. Nike Zoom Hyperflight Premium Release Date:
