Lafayette x W-Base – Durcus One City Explorer Bicycle Posted: 16 Jul 2013 06:00 AM PDT W-Base is a staple in Tokyo’s BMX and fixed gear bicycle scene, executing numerous collaboration bicycles over the many years. The latest company to team up is Lafayette, a streetwear boutique and brand based in Yokohama, who produced this exclusive Durcus One City Explorer bicycle for their 10th anniversary. This 26-inch cruiser bike is ideal for urban cyclists, combining comfort and durability to take on any terrain. A custom designed head badge and stem etching authenticates the collaboration, while the down tube is accented by Lafayette decal and five-star graphic on the side of the fork. Expect to see this cruiser in store from late August to early September. Girl Skateboards x Ed Banger Records x Sean Malto – “Pretty Sweet” Remix | Video Posted: 16 Jul 2013 05:00 AM PDT In an unprecedented collaboration effort between Girl Skateboards and Ed Banger Records, they are embarking on a remix series featuring their top skateboarders. These remixes comes as the French electro record label celebrates their 10th year in business. First up for the Pretty Sweet remix series is Sean Malto, where his Pretty Sweet video part is remixed using Ed Banger tracks as the soundtrack. The revamped tracks add a completely different dimension to the part, matching perfectly with the flawless editing of the 10-minute clip. Nickelodeon x Toyota Highlander | SpongeBob SquarePants-Inspired Custom Posted: 15 Jul 2013 09:00 PM PDT Toyota has partnered with Nickelodeon to rework the Toyota Highlander 2014, upending the vehicle’s name with an undersea design motif inspired by everyone’s favorite aquatic cartoon, SpongeBob SquarePants. The character’s wacky gap-toothed likeness is plastered all over the Highlander’s exterior, while inside the cabin, leather seats are draped in SpongeBob yellow and the ceiling finished in a fetching ocean blue. The one-of-a-kind concept vehicle was unveiled last Saturday during SpongeBob Day at San Diego’s PETCO Park (an event possibly overshadowed by the no-no tossed by San Francisco Giant Tim Lincecum against the Padres). The vehicle will spread its good luck at seven more locations during a cross-country road trip to promote Toyota’s “Happy Driving!” campaign. SUPRA Presents The Maurizio Molin Women’s Footwear Collection Posted: 15 Jul 2013 08:00 PM PDT Supra has teamed up with Venetian based artist and designer Maurizio Molin, famous for his dot and geometric patterned paintings that live, according to Molin, “in the middle-ground between art and design.” Three varieties of his distinctive snakeskin print, rendered in a colorful rainbow pattern, adorn three classic Supra silhouettes for women — the Vaider, Skytop and a Wrap. Maurizio’s rainbow snakeskin pattern is printed on nylon and applied to the interiors and exteriors of the three footwear silhouettes, complemented by pink accents, smooth grey nubuck, deep black suede, and in the case of the Vaider, a snake scale embossed iridescent suede.
