Stussy Deluxe – Fall 2013 Collection Lookbook Posted: 30 Sep 2013 06:00 AM PDT Unlike their general release counterparts, the Stussy Deluxe line is constructed from Made in Japan materials. To complement the pieces, a prolific British photographer, Martin Parr, shot the lookbook for this season. At first glance, the lookbook may not look like much, but the style employed by Parr references amateur photography and street snaps. The models rock the new gear nonchalantly, seemingly going about their daily lives in a natural manner. Click through the following pages to take a glimpse of the pieces that are already in stock at all Stussy Deluxe outlets and their online shop.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 4×4 – “Black Ops” Concept Posted: 29 Sep 2013 08:30 PM PDT Since “everything’s bigger in Texas,” engineers from Chevrolet really needed to put on their A-Game in order to impress the crowd at this year’s State Fair of Texas. And they did with two imposing custom pick-up trucks, including the “Black Ops” Concept seen here. Based on the new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 4×4 pick-up truck, the “Black Ops” Concept is the ultimate “bug out” vehicle. With a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engin capable of 355 horsepower, there’s more than enough power for you and three other grown adults to “get out of Dodge”. An LED light array to shine your way in the pitch-black darkness, there is also a wrench system out front just in case you ended up at the bottom of a ditch. Rugged enough to stop a bullet thanks to a custom chassis made from body armor, a bed-mounted Truck Vault will hold enough rations along with gas masks, gloves, military-spec First Aid Kit, folding shovel, rope, and a solar power pack. Though we’re not sure how that one-month supply of Twinkies and Ramen will fare during an actual zombie apocalypse. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 4×4 “Black Ops” Concept is on display at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas from now till October 20th, just in time for the season premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead. The pick-up truck concept will make its official debut at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas later this year.

Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle – Zoom Stefan Janoski & AW77 Crew | By Ross Hathaway Posted: 29 Sep 2013 06:20 PM PDT Ross Hathaway is a natural athlete. Not only is the 11-year-old a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, he also can pull some rad move on his skateboard, including a clean landing from a Frontside 180. So it comes as a surprise that Hathaway is living with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder which affects the lungs. But don’t expect Hathaway to stay away from the dojo or his local skate park. The avid sportsman created a special Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski, matching AW77 Crew and Nike SB cap just so he can roll with members of the Nike SB Team. Finished with embroidered purple and blue accents on a black backdrop, all in reference to the crystals within Hathaway’s rock collection, the special Nike Zoom Stefan Janoski features an icy blue outsole with outlines of two lungs. Screen-print of a pixelated rose in 65 blocks lined the shoe’s interior, hint at “65 Roses,” an easier way for children to pronounce “cystic fibrosis,” along with numerous palm trees for Hathaway’s love of tropical places. One of seven designs from the 2013 Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Program, the Nike x Doernbecher Freestyle – Zoom Stefan Janoski & AW77 Crew by Ross Hathaway will be available in the coming months, with all sale proceeds to benefit OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon.

2013 Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Program Posted: 29 Sep 2013 02:30 PM PDT Now in its 10th year, the Nike organized Doernbecher Freestyle Program not only raised more than $6 million to fund research expense, clinical care, and cutting edge medical equipments for Portland’s Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Doernbecher Children's Hospital. But most importantly, the unique partnership between company and hospital empowered 58 young patients during its course and helped to alleviate their struggles against detrimental diseases. First got its start in 2004 after a conversation between Michael Doherty, Global Creative Presentation Director of Nike and a member of Board of Directors at Doernbecher Foundation, and his son Connor. Then a high school sophomore and an avid sneaker collector, Connor suggested an online offering of rare, exclusive Nike editions as a way to raise money for the hospital. That initial concept quickly blossomed into a collaborative effort, where OHSU Doernbecher patients and a team of Nike designers, get to see their designs, personalized with their experiences, from sketches to actual sneakers. In celebration of the program’s 10th anniversary, Mark Smith, Global Product Creative Director of Nike and a Doernbecher Freestyle contributor, designed a special Nike Dunk High 10th Anniversary Collection. Highlighted throughout with glow-in-the-dark features in reference to OHSU Doernbecher patients’ unyielding strength, the Nike Dunk High also have every patients’ names from the 10 years of Doernbecher Freestyle Program. Two sets of this special collection will take part in special charity auctions at Portland and New York City, with all proceeds going to the OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Meanwhile, the 2013 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection from Nike, in both footwear and matching apparel, will be available at NikeStore.com along with select Nike retail locations across the country later this Fall.
